Dhers wins Park and Cup, signature rubber from Albes
by: Justin Kosman

It’s the thought that counts, right?
Well, I thought that getting loaded and leaving my bar camera in a taxi cab would be a good way to do a blog about the BMX Park competition at the Dew Tour. I’m lame, but the contest wasn’t. Here’s the low down.

Dennis Enarson pulled several 360 triple tailwhips and had an awesome run.

Nyquist looked like he had a huge weight lifted off his back when he finished his first finals run. He didn’t take a second and was already on a mental vacation after locking down the Dew Cup in BMX Dirt.

Mike Spinner won trick of the year with the 1080 that Carlo Griggs pulled back in 1992. Awesome!

Scotty Cranmer didn’t practice and he just showed up out of the blue with his busted lip and started firing out frontflip tailwhips. On his last one he careened off the course and blasted a camera man. So good. PS0 his new Duo grips are the best.

Mike Spinner pulled a 1080 in his run and a 720 whip.

Nyquist 720 barspin was smooth as butter.

Flip from Albes had special Daniel Dhers condoms made for the event. “It’s like raw dogging bitches.”

Rob Darden has 720s looking better than anyone. Nose down and dipped.

Quinn Semling used his wild card spot to finish 33rd and claims next year he’s going straight to the top.

Mirra pulled his no handed 360 flip and the crowd went nuts.

Diogo Canina blasted the biggest 360 tabletop. So big. So good.

Daniel Dhers won the comp and did a 360 fist pump over the driveway. He also is buying a Benz when he gets back in February.

The soft pretzels in the media room were terrible.

Parslow wins big money booter, Nyquist gets cup
by: Justin Kosman

Dirt Finals went down this afternoon and Nyquist ended up winning the Dew Cup overall with a 5th place finish. It had rained pretty hard the night before so the jumps were a little slow and weird. Nasty didn’t even make it through with one clean run. Many riders only got through one time.  The lips were made with concrete and clay so there weren’t any gnarly ruts like usual.  Luke Parslow won the comp and his parents were there to celebrate with him.  Chris Doyle was sitting in third place towards the end of the comp but got bumped down into 4th place when it was all over and done with. Get this- the jumps were so bad that Chris messed up a 360 turndown on his second run. Bizarre.  Anthony Napolitan got third place but pulled the frontflip tailwhip on the last set after competition.  Ryan Guettler went for a double backflip on the first jump in his second run and knocked himself out and ruined his back wheel. He still ended up 7th place with a 91 and and 81.  Dennis Enarson earned second place and rode like a man. It doesn’t even look like he is trying out there and he’s making the podium.  If he hadn’t messed up at the first two stops, he would have won the Dew Cup.  Joey Marks pulled a pretty big double downside whip 360 at the end of his last run. I’d like to speculate that the second one was even superman status.  Cameron White went for the backflip barspin to tailwhip on the first jump and slipped his pedal on the landing.  Seven of the twelve riders in the final were wearing Vans.

Nose Wheelie training wheels
by: Justin Kosman

So this thing was made using a rollerblade wheel and a mountain bike stem... that should tell you something.
Also the trippy music inthe background. Mushrooms for sure.

Scotty Cranmer- Are you serious?
by: Justin Kosman

This two-clip video is nuts. I love how Felt drops these banger videos right before each Dew Tour. Intimidation factor? Maybe....
